Christmas 2007
Kathy & Wazzas first Christmas at home
From all parts of the state their family did roam
Two faces were missing, now where could they be
No Christmas presents for them were under the tree.
The Turkey was cooked to perfection I see
And veges galore for Christmas Eve tea
Of course we all ate until our tummies near busted
But still managed room for pudding and custard
Christmas morning arrived with excitement and flutter
Cooked breakfast of bacon, eggs, mushrooms in butter
Santa brought stockings for a girl & 3 boys
That begun the procession of too many toys
The presents were dished out by Joelle, & 2 Christmas elves
They were all shapes and sizes from different shop shelves.
We got through the presents, such a big load,
Before Kerry, Gary and Berrett all hit the road
The rest of Christmas day was much of the same,
eating, and drinking and playing the odd game.
So thanks to the Overton’s for such a good time
Good company and wine & the food … sublime!

Nicole, your poem is brilliant!I only read it after our chat this morning. Look forward to seeing you all in a few days time.
Love Mum XXX
A really clever poem and a lovely record of your christmas.
What do we need to say to Jessica when she asks us why we were not around for her entry into the world? I am very nervous about meeting her.
I would be too Col!! I am sure she has noticed your absence although Graham has been doing his best Grandad impersinations with funny faces etc.
